The Body only price of the beautiful Olympus E-P5 has dropped to £779.00 in the UK. The list price was £899.00, which dropped to £849.00 and is now being offered for £779.00 at Srsmicrosystems. This is the cheapest price I've seen in the UK to date.
I would imagine that competition from the new Panasonic Lumix GX7 with it's built-in electronic viewfinder is responsible for the price reduction. The entry price of the GX7 is £819.00 for body only.
The electronic viewfinder for the Olympus E-P5 is an optional accessory, which starts from £150.00 to £249.00 depending on the model chosen.
The price reduction makes the Olympus E-P5 more competitive against the Panasonic GX7 especially if you don't want an electronic viewfinder or like me you already have one.
The E-P5 just got better!
